2022/23 Squirts Enter HVHL Tournament as #1 Seed

This has been an exceptionally exciting season so far for our 10U Millbrook Knights. It hasn’t been an easy road, for sure, but with a 8-0 record in HVHL play and an 31-9-4 record overall, it’s fair to say that this has been a season that will go down in the MYHA record books. Way to go boys!

This Thursday (2/9) at 7:30 pm the Squirts will play Nutley Clifton in the HVHL semi-final at Bontecou Rink. The winner of that game will play for the HVHL A1 Championship on Saturday (2/11) vs. the winner of the NYC Skyliners v. White Plains Plainsmen. White Plains advanced to the East semi-finals last night with an exciting OT win over North Park. The HVHL championship game will take place at the Westchester Skating Academy in Elmsford, NY at 5:40 pm.

The 10U Knights started off the season on a high note with a NES tournament Championship win. They rolled to a undefeated record in HVHL league play, mostly in the first half of the season, and added another tournament championship in Avon, CT on Thanksgiving weekend. The rest of the season had some ups and downs, but for the most part, the team has been able to rise to the occasion when it counts.

Head Coach, Kevin Beck said, “The boys have worked hard all season and are excited to be in the semifinals. The coaches are all looking forward to see what this team can do as we approach these next few weeks.”

MYHA President, Mike Darragh said, “We are so proud of our 10U team. Good luck in your semifinal game! Make us proud!”

Let's hope the things that the team has learned this season along with the team's dedication to the MYHA core values will equate to a successful end to this season for our 10U Squirts.

GO KNIGHTS!!!
